  We have stayed with Gulfstream a few times now. Everytime they say check in is at 4pm and we can never check in at 4. We get there around 3 and can finally check in around 5 or 6. The staff let us get into the pool and give us beach access. They are nice but dont expect to check in on time. The room was mostly clean. It had a weird liquid going down the stove but everything else was clean. The table was really sticky but I think that was because it wasnt painted properly. The beds were EXTRA firm and not very comfortable. I would stay here again because of the view and walk out access to the beach and the pool.

  I don’t want to say how great this room is and how great the location is in the complex and how great the interior was for our WHOLE (20) family to join for dinner in the evenings was. Everyone will want to rent it and I won’t be able to rent again.

  My wife and I stayed at the Gulf Stream Condo's for our first time. We were guests from March to mid April 2025. Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and engaging. We enjoyed the hot tub and great view of the Gulf from our first floor condo. We made friends easily at the pool and look forward to seeing them again. Our only concern was the fluctuating temperature of the swimming pool. Management did not seem to care that the pool was to cold (71 degrees at one time) ignoring request to keep the temperature consistent.

  We have enjoyed our family vacations at the Gulfstream for over 30 years. It has become a family tradition for sure. We used to bring our own kids every year and now bring our grandkids. Our kids friends that used to come with us as young kids continue to come with their young families. The office staff, the Maintenace staff and the housekeeping staff are all so nice and friendly and respectful! We love it here at the Gulfstream. One downside, however was elevator breaking

  We've had family vacations at the Gulfstream for years, but this trip was our first for staying on the first floor. There are pros and cons to choosing this level. Pro: easy in and out, and it's fun to step outside and walk directly to the beach. One night, a couple of first floor neighbors came out for an impromptu party in the grass. Cons: view not as great as on higher floors, privacy is a big concern, and lots of sand came into the room.
  We have already made plans to come back next year to the Gulfstream. The location is amazing, and the staff really works to keep everyone happy. The pool is the nicest I've seen on a Texas beach.
  The property was built in the 70's, and the salt water is murder on everything, so upkeep is a constant concern.
  We stayed in room 116. The king bed is good, and the dining area is great for gatherings. The two twin beds expand to trundles, which could easily sleep 4 kids. The couches were comfortable, and the big screen TV's are an added bonus.
  A big shout out goes to property engineer Larry, who is friendly, helpful, and a joy to see every year.

  This condo had tons of space for our family. We rented 3 beach front condos side by side and loved the 8 person dining table. The view was spectacular. What we really loved was that this ground floor condo was steps from the beach compared to others near and around the area. There were so many activities to do near by, even for us during the off season. Everyone was helpful, friendly and accommodating when we needed anything. It was super clean when we arrived. We definitely will rent this unit again and recommend it to our friends and family.

  Everything was perfect, minus not having access to functioning TV/Cable. maintenance was there to quickly attempt to rectify the situation but in the end, nothing could be done. Also, the ice maker would make a loud knocking noise every 30 minutes or so.... which was very disturbing when trying to sleep. Other than that, it was an over all great stay.

  Lovely space and great views. Plenty of spaces for sleeping. We did notice the floors had some sand residue and bed sheets as well. Restrooms we well stocked with towels and as an addition they also provided beach towels which was awesome. Took advantage of using the gas grills and the laundromat. They also sold ice and had a vending machine for snacks. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay. The maintenance team and office crew were very nice and welcoming.

  I have been staying here for over 40 years (came when I was a teenager) and this is the first time I have had huge issues with things not working. The room was nice, but not all remotes needed to work TV's, no batteries in the remotes we had. HUGE issues with plumbing and back ups in the kitchen sink where maintenance had to come out 3 times to fix. Slow follow through on repairs, said they would call a plumber, when checked the next morning, no one had called and had to request again. Things did get corrected, however not a great experience overall. My husband staying in same room three weeks prior with many of the same issues concerns. Not a good choice for a room to stay in.

  Water pressure at kitchen sink very low.
  
  Water spigot in front bathroom needs to be tightened to counter top.
  
  Shower door in front bathroom extremely difficult to move.
  
  Volume / sinc issues with TV in living area.
  
  2 chairs to patio completely unusable (legs corroded off)......why are they left there in this condition.
  
  I have been coming here since the early 80's and we continue to stay here multiple times a years. We have this room booked for Thanksgiving hopefully these issues will be resolved by then.
  
  Needless to say for the amount we pay we expect the basic items to be functional.

  This is a great location with wonderful weather (this year) and only 50 feet from a super clean beach. The morning sunrises from the oceanfront view are stunning. the unit itself is very comfortable. I wasn't fond of the tall unpadded dining chairs but that's a personal preference. The extra large table was perfect for our use. The Gulfstream's maintenance stall responded quickly to any requests and were quite efficient and friendly. This is my third different rental place on Padre Island and so far the best. We are making plans to return next year to the same unit.
