  Staff is very friendly. Property is clean and well maintained. Unit 217 is in excellent condition. Beds and sofa/chairs are very comfortable. The only reason for a 4 star review this year is the very loud music in The Sandbox Beach Bar nearby. The base is so strong that it rattles stuff in our room at times. Takes away from the reason we come to the beach-to listen to the waves and nature sounds.

  Our first morning we discovered that the shower closest to the entry would not shutoff. I tried calling the front desk but the phone did not work.
  
  I used my cell phone to call the front desk to alert of the situation. I sensed no urgency to the water shower situation. To my horror the tub started filling half way. I panicked because I was afraid it would flood condo 217 and the one below. I finally managed to get the water turned off. The maintenance folks came and verified the problem. They said they needed to go get a part. Several hours later the problem was resolved.
  
  The other shower had mold and or mildew on the shower pan. Maintenance came and scrubbed it with bleach, problem solved.
  
  The tv remote did not work, but we were able to see tv using tv controls.
  
  As for the bed, it does make noise as other reviewers have stated in the past. It is comfortable.
  
  The views are outstanding, the evening shady breeze felt amazing.
  The location is near stores and eateries. Would definitely stay there again.

  We shared Condo 217 and enjoyed the location and its decor. The back bedroom mattress needs replacement or a new box spring. Felt like we were on a waterbed and the loose headboard hit the wall with every movement. Had a wonderful time with our friends enjoying our conversations on the balcony listening to the waves. The microwave is very loud but it did reheat the great BBQ from Butters in Sinton. We will return!

  We have stayed at gulf stream on 4 occasions over the past few years and #217 is the lowest rating of those four, primarily due to the amenities provided. Kitchen was not equipped to the standard of others nor was the entertainment standards were up to the level expected. The cleanliness of the condo and the staff were excellent however.

  We arrived and could not check in until after 5:00pm. The front desk was rude and acted like we could have had to wait until 7:00pm and too bad for us. The condo was nice but the mattresses were old and uncomfortable. The pool was closed twice during our 4 day stay because workers were fixing the cracks and repainting do we lost pool time. I had to bring my towels down to get new ones and had to take our own garbage out ... so no maid service at all. The lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working ; and I was charged 115.00 for the Maid to clean AFTER we left - clearly based on the lack of service and what we had access to you are severely OVER PRICED

  The location of the condo and the heated pool are our biggest draws to Gulfstream. We love the beach access, and the the sunrises are amazing. We were disappointed that the heater for the pool was not working, so we were unable to use the pool for our entire stay. Maintenance, office, and housekeeping staff do an excellent job. They are friendly, timely, and provide great customer service. We've stayed here several times and plan to come back next winter.

  We love staying in this room but the bedroom to the right of the front door needs a new mattress. We have been staying in this room for years and the mattress is the same. It is as hard as a rock and we aren't able to get a good nights sleep on it.

  We enjoyed our stay at The Gulfstream overall but there could have been some updates to this room. The master bedroom had trails of ants on the floor. Our 11 month old daughter got ant bites while in her Pack n Play bed. The comforter had Cheeto crumbs. The start button on the dishwasher gets stuck so it's really hard to run it. The oven looks rusty and the broiler didn't work on it. The toilet seats are worn out and need replacing. The queen bed is squeaky and uncomfortable. The front door was covered in mildew that attracted mosquitos.
  
  The pros: The view of the ocean is beautiful. You can't beat oceanfront. The cleaning crew and front desk people were nice.

  Good experience. A few issues. The bed in one bedroom had a loose or broken headboard that would rattle every time you got on bed. The balcony door was broken. Could not lock it when we needed to lock it and and could not open it when we needed it open. Maintenance guy sprayed something in lock. Didn't work.

  For the last few years we have stayed at the Gulf Stream Condos during the second week of June. We've always been pleased with the property, the beach, and the pool area. We did not go in 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic and were really anxious to be back this June. We chose a condo facing the ocean and were very pleased with Room 217! It was clean, comfortable and delightfully decorated. The only negatives were a non-working doorbell and a burned out porch light (very minor issues). The beach was so clean and uncrowded and there was always an available table with umbrella at the pool area. My only real concern was that the price seemed higher this year (perhaps to make up for few customers in 2020) The total for two nights was over $800. When I checked out on June 10th, I asked for a printout of charges and fees and was told that it would be emailed to me. As of today, June 14th, I have not received my receipt--just this survey.

  We stayed 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday). On the first night, we had noisy downstairs neighbors (we could hear the all the lyrics to their music as well as the bass). We called the front office to complain and the manager talked to the guests. We were very pleased that the noise promptly stopped.
  
  We discovered on Saturday that the room's landline phone and dining room ceiling fan lights did not work. The maintenance person said he would put in a work order on Sunday. When we left on Monday morning, the ceiling fan light still did not work.
  
  
  The location was amazing! The property is on the beach, so you only have one set of stairs to descend to reach the beach (no need to cross the street or walk down a long boardwalk). The unit is well-stocked with linens, kitchenware and utensils.
  
  Overall, we had a decent stay and would return.
